Coco the Appaloosa is 19 1/2 hands high - a huge horse!
Gary says:"Coco is so tall that I have to use a bucket or a stump to gain height
to get my foot into the stirrup to mount - little shorty that I am".

Gary's dad served in the US Navy during WWII, & served
in all three theaters of war - American, European, & Pacific.
He was on a Destroyer, the USS Hobby, DD-610.
